The UK is ready to advance with using the entire amount of immobilized Russian holdings to support Ukraine's defense operations, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a collective announcement, the leaders of the UK, France, and Germany emphasized that this coordinated action would escalate tension on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and urge Moscow to come to the table.

They clarified that the initiative would be implemented in tight collaboration with the US.

UK restrictions have frozen in excess of £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow initiated its widespread offensive against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. But, up to this point, money allocated to the Ukrainian government using Russian funds had exclusively been drawn from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their goal to drive progress toward utilizing the complete amount of the frozen Russian sovereign assets to end the war.

He added that further sanctions soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This statement is subsequent to EU leaders convened in the Danish capital recently to debate using seized Russia's funds for a €140bn loan to the Ukrainian nation.

Last month, President Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to seize or utilize seized Russia's assets, based on news outlets.

The total of immobilized Russia's holdings in the EU is estimated to be nearly €211bn.

Russia carried out extensive bombardments all over the Ukrainian territory on that day, causing electricity outages in large parts of Kyiv, Kyiv, and eight other regions.

A pair of individuals were killed and no fewer than 20 people were hurt in the assault, Ukrainian officials said.

In a message on an online platform following the strike, Zelensky commented that the cynical and calculated attack focused on public and utility structures.

"What is required is not just talk but firm measures - from the US, the European Union, and the Group of Seven - in delivering defense mechanisms and implementing penalties," he stated.

"Each restrictive measure weakens Russia's war machine," Zelensky wrote, in a different message.

In the same period, Zelensky informed reporters he would encourage Sir Keir to join the weapons procurement scheme, under which partner nations acquire military equipment from the America to give to Ukraine.

While praising the UK's consistent assistance for the Ukrainian government, he said it should send a clear signal that it would participate in the system, as well as enforce more sanctions on Russia.
