Prison Location Discussion

However the possibility of Bolsonaro himself ending up in the Papuda prison high-security prison in Brasília has shocked backers, a group of four this week visited the complex in an apparent effort to dissuade the supreme court from banishing him there.

He must not persist being his self-appointed guard for his entire life.”

Otoni was struck by how Bolsonaro allies, who have spent years applauding the harsh conditions of inmates, had suddenly realized to their privileges. “Only now has the far-right – which has repeatedly claimed that human rights were not for criminals – chosen to visit a prison to discover what circumstances are truly like,” he said.

“The former president is a lawbreaker,” Otoni insisted, but that did not mean he merited “shameful, degrading treatment”.
