The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
